18/08 :  ....and the CARAVAN has all our friends...

an idea...we have had for a while...a retreat/ rest/relaxation place for artists in the network.
We stayed on a Dorset campsite which was like a set for Doctor Who, as our tent was pitched facing a field of unused caravans. On asking the site owner what was going on, he said that over half of them had been abandoned!! He then regaled me with dramatic tales of people abandoning things in his field (we liked it there and had no such reaction). The idea occurred to us that perhaps MFeast could buy/rent a caravan and a pitch for use by memebers. What do you think?

27/06 :  WORKSHOP ASSISTANTS

We have had a few requests from artists, who are tired of working by themselves, if we know of anyone who might like to lend some assistance. And we have had requests from artists who are keen to help, gain experience and/or earn a little bit of money.

If either of these are relevant to you. put your name, description of your work and an email address in the forum: Workshop Assitance. Go to the menu on the left and this forum should be the third one down the menu. Click to open and the write and post a reply.

and hopefully ...help or experience or work will arrive your way. We'll see! This is only open to members of the website. You can join the website by registering and sending an email to info@themoveablefeast.co.uk that says where you work and a bit about your experience and skills
.

13/06 :  WHAT'S GOING ON?

We are in the process of putting together a workshop zodiac. This idea arose out of the first Moving the Feast Course (we are hoping to run another this October/November - to register interest: info@themoveablefeast.co.uk. Also, see articles). We used the zodiac idea to create a workshop game which had its first outing at the BIG April 22nd Re-Membering the Feast event.

We are also in the process of applying for organisational development monies to ensure that we can keep the network alive and in particular 'LIVE!' . We began this venture by running three and four day events and those events are still close to hearts. But, as the Sizing the Community survey showed (
If you want a copy of this or the first newsletter - same address as above) Arts Workers need inspiration and validation through the provision of professional development on our terms - developing practice through practice. From these gatherings all sorts of unexpected opportunities ensue. We are working to get the wherewithal to create more of these events.
